"Grasslands and Juniper"

After doing about 5 or 6 paintings of the grasslands south of Sonoita I demonstrated some
of the techniques for grass and juniper in a class I taught, and was surprised at how close
it looked to the real landscape. I prefer to be there, to start a painting usually, to see the sun
on the edges of the hills and the actual color of the shadows and the shapes of the trees.
